The Beginner project is a panel up to one square foot in size, with 15 to 20 pieces. You select the pattern from "15 Pieces or Less" or "20 Pieces or Less", and pick out the glass.

Our Instructors

Our courses are highly successful and we continually receive positive feedback from our clients.

Our Monday Intermediate and Wednesday Beginner instructor is Chris Van Zanten, an "escapee" from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. In over 12 years of teaching classes at our store, he has transformed hundreds of rank amateurs into confident and competent stained glass artisans.

Our Tuesday Beginner instructor is Mary Johnson. An offer from a friend to teach Mary the art of stained glass quickly evolved into a passion that has kept her very busy in her home studio over the last 7 years. The beauty of the play of light that shines through the different textures and colours of glass provides the inspiration to continually explore and create. Originally trained in Nova Scotia, Mary's expertise has grown and developed thanks to her friends at Stained Glass Stuff in Ottawa where she also enjoys instructing classes.

Note: For all lessons, the students are required to be 18 yrs old and over please.

ADVISORY: We recommend that any pregnant or potentially pregnant women refrain from taking stained glass lessons due to the lead and chemicals involved.

Clothing Advisory: Please wear comfortable, form fitting, cotton clothing, and closed-toe shoes.

We want to hear what you thought of our classes, so we can always be improving them. Any comments, positive or negative, are welcome. You can use our feedback form, call, write, or drop in and discuss with us how you felt the classes went.
