People who do this as a hobby and go to craft shows or sell pieces to friends/co-workers etc, often ask "how do I price my stuff?" There are three common formulas that we can use.
Diamondcrete standard mix ratio is 1 cup powder to 2 fluid ounces of water.
| MOLD | DIAMONDCRETE | WATER |
|---|---|---|
| Single Brick | 4 | 8 |
| Double Brick | 8 | 16 |
| Tree Ring | 10 | 20 |
| Cross | 13 | 26 |
| 14" Circle | 18 | 36 |
| 16" Square | 20 | 40 |
| Fan | 19 | 38 |
| Small Butterfly | 23 | 46 |
| Angel | 24 | 48 |
| Large Hexagon | 24 | 48 |
| Address Stone | 24 | 48 |
| Splash Block | 28 | 52 |
| Moonstone | 28 | 56 |
| Curved Bench | 132 | 264 |
| Straight Bench | 132 | 264 |
Small Box of Diamondcrete = 13 Cups
Large Box of Diamondcrete = 33 Cups
There amounts do not fill up the mold to the top. This is normally not a problem, as Diamondcrete is expensive, but on the Address Stone, if your letters are taking up the whole side of the Stone, the glass will be sticking out. You will need to top up the mixture by about 10 cups or so. Be prepared to mix more in a hurry if you are still short.

If you are making a stone during our cooler seasons, make sure that the Diamondcrete powder is at room temperature and also try to use warm water (75 degrees) for a stronger stone. You can also try to use any handy electric mixer in your kitchen to stir up the mixture. Another thing to keep in mind is that the lighter the pigment colour, the less water will be required to reach the proper 'milkshake' consistancy.
