Patty Gray Workshop
Stained Glass Stuff is proud to announce that for the fourth consecutive year we will be hosting two very special workshops taught by world famous warm glass artist Patty Gray. The first class, Advanced Fusing Techniques, will be on Sunday, March 21st to Tuesday March 23rd, 2010. The second class, Pattern Bars in Sushi Plates and More! which will be open only to those who have attended a previous workshop with Patty, will be from Wednesday, March 24th, to Sunday, March 28th, 2010. This class will primarily be focused on creating various styles of pattern bars, sawing them up to be incorported into larger projects. Lots of other projects and tecnhiques will be covered as well during the workshop.
Patty has once again been gracious enough to find time in her very busy schedule to return to Ottawa. Our classroom space in our studio has evolved since her last visit, with more and larger kilns and other specialized fusing equipment. Both workshops are limited to 10 people, so book time off work now and reserve your spot. The workshop fee for the Three Day Workshop is $650.00 Canadian dollars, all taxes, lunch and materials included. The Five Day Workshop is $995.00 Canadian dollars. Just a few of the projects she will be teaching students to do will be combing, using a Vitrograph, making murrini bars with the Glory Hole, using Glassline paints, coldworking, thick open-faced casting, frit cookies, stringer plates, and more. Patty's classes fill up very quickly, wherever she teaches. She rarely comes to the east coast of North America, as she lives near Seattle. This is an excellent oppourtunity to learn from one of the best in the field of warm glass. If you are traveling from out of town, contact us and we can recommend local accommodations.
A deposit of $150.00 will secure your spot in either of thess classes. The balance is due at the start of the workshop. We will accept cancellations up to March 1st, 2010, with a full refund, but after that date, a refund will only be given if somebody can be found to take your place. We will be taking names for a waiting list in the event we have any cancellations.
