Saturday, April 19th, all day long.
Bring in your soldering iron, grinder and cutter, and we will show you how to give it a good spring cleaning. So when you come back to your stained glass bench after a long, hot wonderful summer spent gardening, golfing, swimming at the lake or whatever you do during the mythical season known as "Summer", your tools will be ready and waiting for you. There is no charge for this service, we just want to make sure your tools are well cared for.
A stained glass artist asked the gallery owner if there had been any interest in his panels on display at that time.
"I have good news and bad news," the owner replied. "The good news is that a gentleman enquired about your work and wondered if it would appreciate in value after your death. When I told him it would, he bought all 15 of your panels."
"That's wonderful," the artist exclaimed. "What's the bad news?"
"The guy was your doctor..."

In response to the recent visit by Patty Gray, we have finally figured out some rates for a cold-working service. It is a little complicated so bear with us, or ask questions. One caveat is that we will not do any cold working on any project with any metal inclusions near the outer edges, as the metal will damage the discs. We reserve the right to adjust these rates, up or down, based on the amount of work required.
There are 5 discs that are required to bring the glass to a full polish, 2 diamond, 2 resin and one felt disc. Anything that is going to be slumped will only require the first two diamond discs and a quick scrub with diamond hand pads, as the glass will be fire-polished during the slumping process.
$10 per diamond grit disc , $7 for resin discs, and $15 for felt pad polishing.
For Circles larger than 12", the price will increase with the size of the circle.
$3 per diamond grit disc , $2 for resin discs, and $10 for felt pad polishing , per edge.
(ie:-Pyramids) $6 per diamond grit disc , $4 for resin discs, and $10 for felt pad polishing , per side.
$1.00 per diamond grit disc , $0.50 for resin discs, and $5 for felt pad polishing, per side.
Assuming a 1" thick bar of glass, $1 per linear inch. Slices will be a minimum of 3/8" thick. Thicker pattern bars will be more.
Any discounts for multiple piece work can be discussed over an ice cold Coke, as we are reasonable people here at Stained Glass Stuff.
