Tips

When using a gold paint pen on dark glass, after grinding, use some fine grade (000 or 0000) steel wool to remove any gold paint lines along the edge of the glass, but don't remove your number marking for reassembling it after foiling. It is a lot easier to do it before foiling than after soldering, when it is harder to see, and remove. Try using a wire brush, running it along the solder seam to remove any gold paint that is still there.

Additional Gold Pen tip:
When the wick gets dried out, remove it and soak it in a small container of paint thinner. This cleans the wick out and prolongs the life of your expensive gold pen.

New Glass Anyone?

As you look around the store you will have surely noticed that there is an ever growing selection of new and different types of glass, most notably is the introduction of:

OCEANA:

900 series Dichromatic Silver Opal Glass, another find by the boss (Kevin thinks that he's been embezzling lately to pay for all the new glass he's been buying, but I heard that he has been doing nude modeling for art classes to show off and justify all those afternoon's he spends at the health club!). At $23.95 a foot it's a little pricey but you really have to see it to understand. Looks opal in reflected light but comes alive with transmitted light, wondrous shades of Pink, Red and Yellow.

Uroboros 65745:

Light and Dark Brown, Emerald Green with Dark Green and Brown Streamers. $24.95 ft. Another find from the recent buying trip, Homer is just in love with this one. It looks like snow capped mountains with a nice forest on the slopes... Well, it does to Homer, he will not stop talking about it or looking at it.

Spectrum 411.15C:

Brown / Gold Streaky Chord. Was seen briefly in the Rack Packs a while back, but now has made it to regular production. Reg. $ 7.95 ft.

NEW bevel clusters!
