Word Reinventions

The Washington Post's Style Invitational asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are some recent winners:

Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with.
Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.
Giraffiti: Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.
Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.
Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running late.
Hipatitis: Terminal coolness.
Dopeler Effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

Another newsletter, another world adventure for the boss.

Who's afraid to fly ? Not David Tappin our fearful leader. This fall we sent him away to Japan to promote stained glass as a hobby. Well, at least that's what he is claiming on his taxes!

Anyway, David spent 17 days throwing up on Japanese businessmen, political leaders, and himself. ( Remember George Bush Sr. and the Japanese Prime Minister???) Seems that fugu, sushi, and saki does not agree with him.

We're sending in a entry form for him for the next Survivor so the whole world can watch. Next year watch for the special Where's David series of Stained Glass Kids Books.

In the light of current world events, staying home and working on stained glass has become very attractive to many people. This hobby has been getting more popular in the last few years, with tons of new interesting products that have taken glass off in some new directions. We would like to see that trend continue and we will try to keep you the local glass people up to date on what's new.
