Stuff to Think About

  • Dyslexia means never having to say that you're yrros. (sorry)
  • If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the 'terminal'?
  • I see your IQ test results were negative.
  • Regular naps prevent old age .....especially if you take them while driving.
  • I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.
  • On my first day of school my parents dropped me off at the wrong nursery. There I was... surrounded by trees and bushes.
  • Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fibre, not the toy.
  • Isn't having a smoking section in a restaurant like having a peeing section in a swimming pool?

The hills are alive with the sound of ..What ?

It is that time of the year again that our thoughts turn to the sound of school buses running up and down the streets collecting all the little darlings (monsters) for another year. Our thoughts turn back to the fun things we did during our summer vacations.

However, our fearsome leader, Mr. David Tappin, (who has in the past been known to do some strange things and have his picture taken doing them) has embraced the new cult classic that has been replacing the Rocky Horror Picture Show, namely the Sound of Music. David has been so taken with this new movie cult thing that he spent his summer in the Swiss Alps dressed in the finest leather lederhosen and taking yodeling lessons to the accompaniment of the guy blowing a big alpine horn.

So one of this month's contests will be: producing the best picture of David dressed in lederhosen and playing one of the big alpine horns. Get your crayons out and let's see if your imagination can be as twisted as mine. If the answer to this question is "yes", are you ever in trouble.

To prove this point see the column to the left.
