Golf Rules

Kevin mentioned just last night that his body is starting to reject RUGBY and that he is starting to play more GOLF. I really do not understand this need for sport in ones life, exercise for me is reaching for the nachos or using the remote, but everyone is different

Soooo.......... Here are some golf rules that someone sent me to help him out when he is on the links.

Posted at a local golf club:

1. Back straight, knees bent, feet shoulder width apart.
2. Form a loose grip.
3. Keep your head down.
4. Avoid a quick back swing.
5. Stay out of the water.
6. Try not to hit anyone.
7. If you are taking too long, please let others go ahead of you.
8. Don't stand directly in front of others.
9. Quiet, please, while others are preparing to go.
10. Don't take extra strokes.

Now flush the urinal, go outside, and tee off.

Neat New Stuff

In addition to all the really neat regular stuff we have every month or so, we are pleased to bring you all the new interesting products we can find.

This month we have a lot of new bevels and bevel clusters to tell you about.

There is a new collection of bevel clusters on the market now, the 'BK' series, 12 in all. We brought in the 3 most interesting ones, Celtic knot designs. The Jordan, Kim and Lewis clusters are spectacular, and very cheap for the amount of work that has gone into them.

New Stock Bevels:

• Granite Dichromic bevels in 1.5" by 1.5", 2", 3", 4", 5" and 6", as well as 2"x3" diamond.
• Terraced bevels, the flat top portion is not uniform, but only a thin (5/16"wide) strip, with the other portion sloping gently across the rest of the bevel. Hard to describe, nice to look at. (Have run out of glowing descriptions.)
• Quarter Circle Bevels in 3" and 4" circle sizes.
• Chiseled Star with Dichromic finish bevels, 1.5" x 1.5", 1.5"x 4", and 2" circle.

New Books

The Aanraku studio in California has burst onto the book scene in a big way with several new books that we are glad to offer you. These new titles include...

• The ECLECTIC Series, Volumes One, Two and Three - They cover the spectrum of designs in this offering with Sumo wrestlers to castles.
• The Art of Shel Franklin
• American Quilts
• Table Lanterns - A Novel approach to three sided lanterns
• UKIYOE! - Designs taken from actual Japanese wood block prints. Quite a detailed book, with a lot of interesting background info. They show you the actual woodblock print, the line drawing, and a photo of the finished panel done in glass.

It is quite something to see how they have interpreted these prints into stained glass.

Jillian Sawyer from Australia has come out with the fourth edition in a collection of oversized design books. This one is called COLOUR MY WORLD.

If this volume of new book releases keeps up, we will have to replace Kitty"s chair with another book case.
