Welcome to the Fall 2004 edition of More Stuff, our slightly larger than normal newsletter. This is the first edition we have put out with 6 pages, and that is because of the constantly increasing number of lessons we are offering. The theme of this issue is increasing your skills in stained glass, so there are more tips, more lessons, and even a recipe! So grab a beverage and enjoy reading.

Once upon a time, in a basement workshop, in a quiet neighbourhood, there resided a stained glass artist. She worked quietly away in her spare time, making much appreciated gifts of stained glass for family and friends. But after awhile, she grew tired of making the same old suncatchers, angels, and small panels every year. She cried out one evening after making the 49th same little angel, " Is this all that there is to stained glass? Can I not learn more? Where ever shall I go to learn more about my favourite hobby?" This cry for help awoke the stained glass gods, rustling them off their recliners. They noted that as there was not going to be any hockey on this season, (because the players and owners are poopy-heads) they decided to help this woman and her thirst for knowledge. Her light-box sprang to life, emitting a brilliant glow, (like Spectrum 110.2 Pale Amber) and a voice rang out from her grinder, " No. Yes. Stained Glass Stuff, on Richmond Road" And then all was quiet and dark. She looked around. "What the heck is going on down there?!" she heard her husband call down. "Oh, nothing Dear." She sat down again at her workbench, and then saw it. An envelope. From the same medium sized store the stained glass gods just recommended to her. She tore it open. Out slid a folded up newsletter. Reading it, she found the answers to her cry for help. Lessons on just about every kind of stained glass that there was, Beginner, Intermediate, Fusing, Painting, Jewelry and more. She called their number, signed up for some classes, and renewed her passion for this wonderful hobby. Her friends and family were amazed by her new skills and abilities, and the works of art that she created. And she lived happily ever after, (but her husband was ticked off that there was no hockey for such a long time)
