Glass Craft & Bead Expo 2010 was held last weekend in Las Vegas. One of our staff members returned with lots of new stuff to show off. However, he only brought back as much as he could pack in his suitcases. Quantities are very limited until these new products reach our distributors.
Our purchasing agent was approached by a friend of Stained Glass Stuff, Mr. Kent Lauer, who made us an offer we couldn't refuse. 10 pounds of CBS Dichroic 3mm Clear Float glass, various coating colours and sizes. These were the left-overs from a CBS client's project. We got three different kinds, Green/Magenta, Yellow/Blue, and Rainbow. It is $5 per ounce, and we have 30 pieces ranging from 2 ounces to 8 ounces in weight. This is a one time only purchase, so get some while you can. Note, this is Float glass, COE 82-ish, and is not compatible with our regular line of System 96 glasses. It is ideal for regular stained glass, mosaics, or lamination.
Stained Glass Stuff "Frit Happens" T-Shirts
White, 100% Cotton
Ladies M, L, and XL and Mens L, XL, and XXL sizes
$20 each
These were very popular in Las Vegas. Just how popular we can't tell you, as what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
All are on Thin Black Smooth glass, 4" x 4" , $49.95
These come in three sizes, Small (½" wide and 6 pieces), Medium (¾" and 5 pieces) and Large (1" and 5 pieces) wide. They are to be coated with Connections kiln wash only, not the usual Primo Primer, as they are more porous than normal Colour de Verre molds. Then you can slump rods, noodles, stringers or cut glass strips over them to get a consistent wave, and then incorporate it on its side in a fused piece.
Craig and Larry from Colour de Verre were very generous in donating a full set to Stained Glass Stuff, on the strict condition that we use them as much as possible and report back with our results.
