Just a few things to bring to your attention. One of our employees finally returned from the big glass show down south, with a suitcase full of 49.5 pounds of new product. If you would like to see some of this stuff, and put in an advance order on them, when they finally do show up in Canada, you’ll be the first to have it.

In no particular order, here are just some of the new things you can get a sneak peek at.

  • System 96 Pebbles, 11 different colours, 0.5 pound bag
  • Uroboros Mardi Gras Confetti, 7 oz. Jar
  • Fritography DVD by Mike Dupille
  • Flameworking DVD by Ron Bearer Jr.
  • The 2007 Spectrum System 96 New Product flyer
  • Fused Sinks and More by Lisa Vogt
  • Glass Kiln Casting with Colour de Verre, by Jayne Persico
  • E-Lite lamp system
  • CBS Dichroic Stars and Hearts on .5” clear squares
  • The Art of Fusing Pictures in Glass
  • Fine Line Powder Sifter, the large version that Patty Gray used.

The only bad thing that came out of Glass Craft and Bead Expo was a rumor that was confirmed by Carmen Reynolds, that the 2007 Hot Glass Horizons show this May in Corning New York will be the last one. The show has become too expensive for them to host on the East Coast, with flying in all the West Coast based instructors and shipping all the kilns and equipment to the small town of Corning, NY.

If you were planning to attend next year’s HGH, there won’t be one! So get online or grab a course calender here in the store and sign up, while you still can. The classes are starting to fill up now. We will be leaving Stained Glass Stuff at noon on Wednesday, May 2nd, and returning late afternoon on Sunday May 6th. The show’s website is:

The only other show like it is Skillsfest at Warner-Crivallero in Allentown, PA, in late August, but it is a smaller show, and also rumored to be in its last year. That leaves the Glass Craft & Bead Expo in Las Vegas in late March as your only major glass show to attend. Not a show you can drive to…
