Stained Glass Gallery

April is National Art Glass Month according to Spectrum, so drop by your favourite local stained glass store and see some of the new colours from Spectrum and other new goodies. We also would like to remind ya'll that our big Spring Sale is still on until April 30th at 5:30pm. The other big thing coming up we wanted to remind you about is on Saturday, April 24th, all day long we will be having Warm Glass Day! Drop by to see and try fusing, slumping, beadmaking and more. If you are into doing this already, bring in some of your work to show off. The idea for this day is so we can all learn and share ideas and techniques from each other.

  • Never Refuse to Re-Fuse Globs now on sale, $ 0.49 each. We can do any size or colour custom glass globs. We can do opal colours, mixed colours, Fracture/Streamer glasses, and more. Enquire for prices.
  • Letters & Numbers, COE 96, $0.65 per letter or number. They come in red, blue, green and yellow,. We somehow missed getting E, J, and X, but they will be here next week. Roughly 1.5" x 1" in size. The glass strips that make up the letters are a little larger than the typical System 96 Noodle.

We still have some of the latest issues of The Score, Stained Glass News, and Glass Patterns Quarterly magazine in stock. GPQ will now be sold at the cover price, $7.50.

New Grinder Bit

The Mika Jewelry Bit, as seen in Innovative Adornments, $ 53.95. It will grind a thin groove on the outer edge of your cabochon so you can wrap fine wire around it to hang it up with.

New Book

Australian Native Wildlife, by Carolyn Kershaw, $ 34.95, 23 full-sized patterns. Her second book, the designs are nice and all, but the impressive thing is for each colour photo of the finished suncatcher, she gives a list of the glass colours used, listing the colour and code. That is such a nice detail that we wish more stained glass books had. It would make life easier for everybody in the hobby.
