Some new glass from our friends at Spectrum and Uroboros for you to check out. We apologize for the double message last time, silly computers don't tell us how much work they have done when interupted.

New Glass

  • Spectrum 6000.81CC Pearl, Clear & White, Corsica texture, $6.95 sq. ft.
  • Spectrum 200CC Snowman White, Corsica texture, $6.95 sq. ft.
  • System 96 Spectrum 233.75SF Mariner Blue Opal, $10.95 sq.ft.

And now for something completely different...

Uroboros "Picture Sheet", $55.95 sq.ft. Clear glass base or Pink/White glass base. This glass is thick, 3/16" to 1/4", with an extra-heavy load of Fractures & Streamers piled on. Very limited quantities. We only could get our hands on 12 square feet in total. The sheet sizes vary from 15" x 24" down to 12" x 15".

Picture Glass is hand made by Tom Sourlis, an artist from Highland, Indiana, who is close friends with the owners of Uroboros. They let him run wild in the factory a few times a year in exchange for some of the glass he creates, a fair deal. On page 3 of Uroboros' #31 Catalog, there are some pictures of Tom's work or check out his website, the lamps he makes are stunning. There is a section on the 'Fused Rolled Sheets' with lots of different kinds that he has made.

The next Friday Night Fusing Clinic is Friday, March the 10th. The topic will be an Introduction to Beadmaking using a HotHead Torch and MAPP gas. Come out and try your hand at making a glass bead.

After much scientific testing, polling, chemical analysis, and economic theoretical debate, when have come up with a new, lower price on the new Kokomo Heads & Tails we now have in stock. They are now $0.40 per ounce, which works out to $6.40 per pound. We have cleaned most of them up and put price stickers on them. They range between $10 to $30.

We had to order more flyers for Hot Glass Horizons Corning 2006, so many people are interested in the event. We only have a few spaces left at this time! If you want to go, check out their website. Call or fax in your registration with Carmen at HGH, and then contact Kevin, who will co-ordinate the hotel and travel details. It is April 26th to the 29th. We would be leaving around noon on Wednesday 26th, and returning late afternoon on Sunday April 30th.
