Just a quick email to keep you informed about all that is happening in the world of glass around us. Christmas books & Bevel Clusters have started to show up. Glass Patterns Quarterly's Fall 2008 issue is now in. Our Fall Sale is still on until the end of the month.

Something we have been doing lately is private group classes, on Thursday or Friday evenings. They can be on fusing, stained glass, jewelry, etc. If you get together with a group of friends, family or co-workers, we can try to find a suitable time to run a class just for you.

As mentioned in the Fall 2008 issue of More Stuff, our newsletter, we will be hosting a small group of glass tourists from Toronto on Saturday afternoon. Glowing Panes Studio's 2008 trip starts here, then they will visit the sights is downtown Ottawa. Then they will travel down the 417 to Montreal and check out the glass there. The instigators of their trips, Laura and Melanie, will be here mid-afternoon on Saturday, September 20th. Drop by to discuss with them their 2009 trip to the US Southwest, and all the fun glass related spots down there. Melanie is also the one who created the MK twist in the Vitriograph kiln. If you have questions about that procedure, we're sure she would love to answer them all.

There are only two spots left in Kent Lauer's Thursday, November 13th Faceted Dichroic Pendant class. If you are interested in high end jewelry and/or coldworking, this is the class for you. The cold working skills you will learn are easily applicable to thick fused glass works of art.

Patty Gray's workshops are rapidly filling up. Advanced Fusing Techniques , April 14th to 16th, 2009. $630 All Inclusive. April 17th to 20th, Intensive Architectural Components, $840 All Inclusive.
