December 8th, 2006 ... Uroboros Rod Pod
The Uroboros Rod Pods are a thick clay shelf that have channels of varying widths across them. There is a small Rod Pod at 6" x 6" and a large one at 10" x 10". They will allow you to create murrini and millifiorie. You apply kiln wash normally to the entire upper shelf surface. Then cut or break strips of stringer, noodle, rod, or cut up sheet glass, and carefully place in the slots. You could also use a bit of frit or even very small scrap glass. Full fuse like normal. Pop out once cool. Use a mosaic cutter to cut off short chunks, about 1/4" wide. Place vertically and refuse into a larger project.
