Materials:

  • Lamp Bender Mold
  • Lead Body Wing Template
  • Suitable coloured glass, does not have to be System 96 or COE 90

Cut out your glass according to the template. Grind the edges smooth. Lay on the Lamp Bender mold, making sure the glass is lying the correct way. Fire at a medium speed up to 1200 degrees. Vent to 1000 once slumped, and let cool to room temperature. Foil very carefully, install in lead body, and solder together. Tin the edges with 60/40 first, then use 50/50 on the wing edges to build up and protect the foil. Clean, patina and polish.
